As announced previously, Lynch plays a mercenary fighter, presumably doing the bidding of the bad guy character played by Law & Order star Christopher Meloni. Although celebrities have lent their voices and likenesses to Call of Duty games before, Lynch is the first athlete to have their physical appearance represented in the franchise.
You may also notice that the trailer includes a disclaimer about how the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Black Ops III do not feature a campaign mode, only multiplayer and zombies. The last-gen versions run at 30fps, not 60fps like the current-generation editions do.
All versions of Black Ops III launch on November 6. For more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
