Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's DMR 14 Is Getting Nerfed In Warzone

Now that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone have officially merged with Season 1, guns from the former have entered the latter. And the transition hasn't been pretty, particularly for players who go up against the DMR 14, Call of Duty: Warzone's latest overpowered rifle.

The DMR 14 is a semi-automatic tactical rifle (Black Ops Cold War's version of marksman rifles) with a high fire rate, little recoil, and reliable damage at seemingly any distance. It's these three elements that make the DMR 14 a popular and threatening choice in the battle royale game. And it's these three elements that make it a headache for most Warzone players.

Scouring through the Warzone subreddit pulls dozens of results of players getting laid out in about three shots by the DMR 14. Even players who are fully armored get melted by the gun. Those at pretty far distances also have little to no chance of surviving the DMR 14's barrage.

Until co-developers Raven Software and Treyarch implement a nerf of some kind to decrease its magazine, reduce its damage, or something to that effect, many Warzone players have flocked to the newly added and equally powerful Mac-10 submachine gun to counter the DMR 14's damage. Conversely, players also use both guns in a single loadout with the overkill perk to wreak further mayhem across Warzone's recently released Rebirth Island and Verdansk.

In other Warzone news, the final mission of the game wraps up the nuclear plotline with an unlockable cutscene. Players simply need to collect every piece of intel currently available in Warzone to unlock the final cinematic and see the conclusion of The War Room mission.
