Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Beta Glitch Lets You Fly

It may not be around for much longer.

Players have discovered a glitch in the ongoing beta for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare that allows them to fly. Depending on whether you're able to pull it off yourself, this is either sadly or thankfully being fixed soon.

This is demonstrated in the video below from Twitter user Refine Evil. Infinite Warfare features what are called Combat Rigs, each of which has different Payloads and Traits that further differentiate them. One of Synaptic's Payloads is called Reaper, allowing users to charge at enemies. Through an exploit, this can be used to remain in the air--seemingly indefinitely.

Now Playing: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Beta Trailer

You're basically flying like a subpar superhero (or me in a lucid dream). It does leave you vulnerable while doing it, but it's possible to shoot while descending, letting you sneak up on unaware foes. You can see see more videos here and here.

Infinity Ward announced that it's aware of this on Twitter and vowed to fix it, though it's unclear if it will do so before this first beta test wraps up. "We're aware of the 'flying' Reaper exploit and we'll be patching it soon," it wrote this afternoon. "Enjoy it while it lasts!"

The PS4-only beta was originally set to end today before being extended until tomorrow. The beta will return for one more test this Friday, when it'll be available on PS4 and Xbox One.
