Call Of Duty: MW3 Recommended Perks And Loadouts For Multiplayer
Here are some suggested weapon builds and perks for MW3.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3is upon us, and with the launch coming up, we wanted to suggest some of the best guns, attachments, and perks to try. Modern Warfare 3 also brings back Call of Duty's classic minimap, where firing unsuppressed weapons will ping you as a red dot on the map. Most of the recommended gun builds here will include attachment options that are easier to unlock earlier than others, as some of the suppressed muzzles are a bit of a grind to unlock, but you can always work towards unlocking a suppressor if you want to stay off the radar. Here are some recommended loadouts for Modern Warfare 3.
MCW
The fan-favorite ACR assault rifle from 2009's Modern Warfare 2 has returned, but it's going under a new name as the MCW. The MCW assault rifle is one of the best guns in Modern Warfare 3, and the recommended attachments will give you increased ammo and better handling.
If you want a suppressed muzzle, the best option is to level up the SVA 545 assault rifle to unlock the HMRES Mod Suppressor. The VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor looks to be the overall best suppressor, but it's currently locked behind leveling up the Longbow sniper rifle, which is only available as a blueprint for those who preordered the pricey Vault Edition.
Recommended MCW attachments:
- Muzzle: L4R Flash Hider
- Barrel: Second Line Mammoth Heavy Barrel
- Optic: MK. 23 Reflector
- Magazine: 40 Round Mag
- Rear Grip: RB Talon-X3 Grip
SVA 545
Another great assault rifle choice is the SVA 545. This is a heavy-hitting assault rifle, and the recommended attachments will help reduce the recoil and make this weapon much easier to handle.
Recommended SVA attachments:
- Barrel: Incursion XII Long Barrel
- Optic: MK. 23 Reflector
- Stock: Markeev R7 Stock
- Rear Grip: Citadel Grip
- Underbarrel: Bruen Tactical Vertical Grip
Striker
The popular UMP 45 submachine gun also returns in Modern Warfare 3, but this is now called the Striker. This is an extremely versatile submachine gun with the best range currently available in its class, but the recommended attachments will further improve the range and mobility. This gun has a suppressor that's not a pain to unlock, but you'll want to level the Rival-9 submachine gun to level 7 to unlock the monolithic suppressor for both guns.
Recommended Striker attachments:
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Striker Recon Long Barrel
- Optic: MK. 23 Reflector
- Stock: Lachmann Recon Series
- Underbarrel: Bruen Tactical Vertical Grip
KV Inhibitor
Sniper rifles are proving to be a very dominant force in Modern Warfare 3, and the KV Inhibitor can be built as a very aggressive sniper. The recommended attachments will help with the speed and mobility of this already powerful rifle.
Recommended attachments:
- Barrel: Kastovia GXR-12
- Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Sight
- Stock: Ivanov Wood Stock
- Rear Grip: Broadside Factory Grip
- Underbarrel: FTAC SP-10 Angled Grip
Recommended perks for Modern Warfare 3
The main difference this year is simply that perk categories are broken up into gear types, such as gloves, tactical vests, and boots. These are still mostly the perks you know and love from Call of Duty, but they are all listed as a piece of wearable gear.
Best vests
Your vest is most tailored to your playstyle. One of the most commonly used is the Infantry vest, because it's geared towards mobility and quick map navigation, which is perfect in a game like Modern Warfare 3 that's so focused on movement. However, Gunner is a good choice as well, especially if you're an aggressive player looking for all the gunfights, as this vest will start you with max ammo and offer faster reload times.
Best gloves
Quick Grip gloves are a great choice if you're sniping, as they allow you to swap your weapons faster. Commando gloves are a solid pick if you're an aggressive player who will benefit from being able to reload while sprinting.
Best boots
Boots are designed to give you perks based on how you want to move around the map. If you're someone who doesn't want to do a few extra button inputs to do the fancy slide-cancel mechanic, the Tactical Pads are fantastic for getting increased slide distance and allowing for full ADS while sliding. These boots will give you much more fluid movement, and you don't have to hit any extra buttons.
Covert Sneakers are another solid choice if you're wanting to make the sneaky plays, as this perk eliminates your footstep audio just like the Dead Silent/Ninja perk of past Call of Duty games.
We also have a recommended settings guide for Modern Warfare 3, covering the game's audio, visuals, and gameplay settings.
