Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare's $200 Dark Edition Includes Real Working Night Vision Goggles

We've gotten our first look at the multiplayer mode of Infinity Ward's new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare re-imagining, and along with it, details about the game's special "Dark Edition" have come to light. After getting hands-on with the game and seeing what to expect from Modern Warfare's multiplayer mode, we've also seen that night-vision goggles are a big part of the multiplayer experience. With the Dark Edition, you get your own real set of NVGs.

Leon Hurley posted images of the googles, which look pretty extreme. As fans may recall, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 also had a premium version that came with night vision goggles.

Pricing for the Dark Edition hasn't been confirmed yet, but a since-removed GameStop listing suggests the premium bundle will cost $200 USD. Developer Infinity Ward also tweeted about the night vision goggles, and you can see their image below.

Before Infinity Ward's multiplayer reveal, we also learned about the close-quarters 2v2 mode Gunfight. On the high side of player counts, Infinity Ward revealed its multiplayer mode could support more than 100 players in a match.

Recently, Activision confirmed that killstreaks will return in Modern Warfare, and one of them involves chemical warfare.

The new Modern Warfare, which is inspired by the 2007 game Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, launches on October 25 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
