Call Of Duty Season 4 Coming June 17 For Warzone, Black Ops Cold War
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 is coming soon, and Treyarch and Activision detailed the new content during Summer Game Fest.
Call of Duty's new season for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone will begin in the midst of E3, and to set the stage, Treyarch and Activision have announced the details of what we can expect. Season 4 is set to begin on June 17.
During Summer Game Fest, the developer revealed that it's bringing a lot of new content to Call of Duty in the new season, including new maps, modes, and Zombie content. The announcement trailer showed off a quick look at the Collateral, Amsterdam, and Hijacked maps. While Amsterdam supports 2v2 battles, Hijacked is built for normal 6v6 modes and Collateral for 6v6 and 12v12. In addition, the trailer suggests that Warzone will "break orbit" and that it's adding something called Zombies Uncaged.
From the Season 4 gameplay trailer, the new Zombies content features some massive undead creatures. It shows players battling against a dragon-like monster as well as a shambling, very tall golem. Although Activision has yet to reveal more details about this and the new Warzone content, it announced that it will share more information about Season 4 on Monday, June 14.
Previously, Treyarch released a story teaser for Season 4, showing the ongoing narrative from the perspective of Stitch. Season 3 had Woods and CIA operative Jason Hudson teaming up to rescue Adler from Stitch, and the Season 4 teaser suggests Stitch feels he has the situation well in hand. This being Black Ops, there were also clues surrounding conspiratorial elements like the numbers stations and brainwashed sleeper agents.
As always, we expect the new season to bring new maps, modes, operators, and unlockable weapons, and many of those rewards will be tied to a refreshed battle pass.
