After much speculation and numerous reports, Activision has confirmed that fan-favorite map Verdansk will be returning to Call of Duty: Warzone in 2025. The announcement was made as part of the Call of Duty: Next presentation, though details are still scarce.

Call of Duty: Next confirmed that Verdansk would be returning in Spring 2025, in part to celebrate Warzone's five-year anniversary. As the map that Call of Duty's battle-royale spin-off Warzone launched with in 2020, Verdansk is beloved by many players, and its return has been highly requested in the years since.

Verdansk's last appearance in Warzone was at the end of 2021, when the Last Hours of Verdansk event saw players scrambling to survive the city's bombing. The map had many evolving iterations during its time in Warzone, including both a modern-day version and the retro Verdansk '84. Activision hasn't given any details yet about what form Verdansk might take when it makes its return to Warzone next year.

If you don't want to wait to reprise the classic map, Verdansk is currently playable in Warzone Mobile, which launched earlier this year with two options for battle-royale maps.

Call of Duty: Next also revealed more about Black Ops 6 and Zombies, with new details on the upcoming Black Ops 6 beta, the 16 maps that will launch with Black Ops 6, and more information about the game's Zombies mode.
