Capcom vs. SNK 2 Japanese date set

Capcom has announced that it will release the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Sega Dreamcast versions of Capcom vs. SNK 2 on September 13 in Japan. The games will each carry a suggested retail price of 6,800 yen (about $ 54). Capcom vs. SNK 2 is the first game developed under the company's multiformat strategy, where it will simultaneously develop products for multiple consoles. The game will also allow for cross-platform online gaming between PS2 and Dreamcast owners in Japan. Only the PlayStation 2 version is currently confirmed for North American release, and it will arrive shortly after the game's launch in Japan.
