Netflix's Castlevania animated series is one of the best video game adaptations, and soon fans of the stylish animated series can complete their Blu-ray collection with Castlevania: Nocturne Season 1. The sequel to the original Castlevania animated series, which ran for four seasons, releases October 8. Ahead of its release during Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon has slashed preorders of the Blu-ray to $24, a 40% discount off its $40 retail price.

Nocturne shares its release date with Arcane, Netflix's League of Legends animated series, which is getting multiple different physical editions, including a limited 4K Blu-ray with a steelbook case. Unlike Arcane, Nocturne is only available on standard 1080p Blu-ray, just like all four seasons in Netflix's first Castlevania arc.

The Blu-ray release of Castlevania: Nocturne includes all eight episodes presented with English and Spanish vocal track options, plus English and Spanish subtitles options. There's also a small selection of special features like production animatics, storyboards, and art galleries.

Castlevania: Nocturne is the sequel series to Netflix's four-season Castlevania series. Like the original series, Nocturne loosely follows the storyline established by the Castlevania series, with season one retelling the events of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, which takes place hundreds of years later during the French Revolution of 1792.

Netflix recently released a teaser trailer for Nocturne Season 2 and announced it will be available to stream in January 2025. Season 2 adapts Rondo of Blood's sequel, Symphony of Night, which is widely regarded as one of the best Castlevania games.
