Chaos Rising in Dawn of War II

So glad we're finally getting a Librarian unit. Would love to see Inquisitor Toth make a cameo as well.

Chaos is sick, but if they give us deamons of chaos we need deamon slayers like some bloody Grey Knights!!!!!!!

I would like to see some plague marines in this game. They never seem to give Nurgle any attention.

Imperial Guard are needed to make this game amazing, Leman Russes lead the way Protected by a nice meat shield of gaurdsmen

WHAT? Space Marine AGAIN?!? Does Relic ever get bored of them? I already got sick of the long, tedious & boring campaign of those emperor's fanatics. And now they play heroes again? At least give me the Chaos , campaign or Risk type campaign featured in the Dark Crusade. THQ now just give one new faction instead of two...........This gonna cost me! X[

if thq is gonna make a seperate game for every faction at least they should lower the price of the games i cant spend 900 bucks on a game and its very stupid of them to use steam and windowslive together hope this time they dont use steam

While I am interested in this, seeing as I love the forces of Chaos, I just pray we aren't stuck with Khorne again. Khorne is so... over used in every kind of Warhammer video game plus he's just plain boring. Now if it focuses on Nurgle then this is a definite interest for me.

For the uninitiated in WH40K lore, Chaos Dreadnaughts are nothing like their loyalist counterparts. The loyalists one are tragic fellows, but well venerated and cared for. The Chaos ones are nothing more than slaves, used as beasts of war during conflicts and stowed away in a state of impotent oblivion when not.

I wonder: will Chaos Dreadnaughts be as unreliable as those in the tabletop games? The tabletop fans who use Chaos Dreadnaughts won't mind having them go all Fire Frenzy and shooting their own troops (they are already quite quirky players to begin with), but video gamers will absolutely HATE having to suffer erratic units who have the potential to decimate their own forces.

I hope it will deliver a satisfying campaign.

The DARK GODS are a bunch of whimps ( Great Looking Army Though ), pity its just space marines and not chapter divided, caus some chapters are better than the GENERIC space marine army, i.e Black Templars (Most Likely the Biggest Chapter), we dont stand for any psycic BS

Dawn of war 2 is great, and to the base building naysayers, this is what Warhammer is, there isnt base building in the table top so why should ther ebe here, it is a great action rts with alot of strategy, cant wait for this. You want to play with lego buildings wait for Starcraft. personally I dont care for SC and Ill be waiting with baited breath for this one.

Ya know what's freaky? My brother and I totally predicted this! We both agreed that the first expansion would definetly add the Chaos as a playable race, and a new snowy locale. The only thing we got wrong was that we thought Relic MIGHT add the Imperial Guard, since they had unit already in the campaign. O.O Oh well. CHAOS SPACE MARINES!!!!!!!! :)

There not a Khorne based Legion. The Black Legion are Undivided, meaning that some Khorne-esque units might make an appearence (Like fleshhounds) but so will Tzeentchian things like Sorcerors.

SHARPSHOOTER25 Uh no, Warhammer 40k was all about squad combat, you had maybe two or three squads per game, even a 2000 point battle, if you wanted gear, and surviveability, you had maybe 4 squads max. DOW II was more true to the table top game then its Predecessor, and the story was great. Star craft 2 is coming out soon, there you can go to your base building, and turtling/ zerging.

i don't like the walking lizard much and i think Chaos's Daemon is the best one ! Dark God Rule! (Chaos)

DOW 2 single player sucked but the multiplayer was good. I hope the single player is better this time or else i am not going to buy it

I expected Dawn of War 2 to be great, but it sucked. It's ok for those who like to only steer units, but it was fun to create bases, upgrade units and so on in Dawn of War 1. Dawn of War 1 is the best.

Great news! Even if this expansion only introduces one new race (as did the first expansion for DoW 1, which only brought in the Imperial Guard), I think that the CSM have a lot of potential. This will be especially true if Relic gives us the full complement of 4 Chaos gods to choose from. Maybe, the CSM could have 4 heroes in multi-player, with each hero worshipping one of the 4 gods? Also, I cannot wait for the story-arc of the Blood Ravens to be continued in single-player. It seems that the Blood Ravens will have to face some unpleasant truths about their dark history and make some tough choices about their future. It would really be very interesting if the campaign had multiple endings - one in which the Blood Ravens remain true to the Emperor and the Imperium, and another in which they turn to Chaos and become a new Chaos Space Marine chapter. If Relic continues the great, character-driven story-telling from the original DoW 2, then I think that this expansion will meet and exceed all expectations...

I'd Say BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD. But the Increase in blood flow im having, would only be good for a God of S##. Don't read too much into this comment. i'm guilty enough as it is.

@ spartan-1657 the dawn of war classic contains all of the playable 40k armies (omiting deamon hunters which doesnt matter much anyway) incomplete armories of units for them but the list is there dont expect them to pull a few out of the bag of barely worth mentioning such as the jorgalli (race of prosthetic users)

DoW II sucked compared to the first. Warhamer is about hundreds of soldiers fighting and dying. The limited, RPG-esque elements of DoW II really brought the game down.

The Chaos Plot this time: To once and for all rid the Universe of the Blood Ravens' METHAL BWOKSEZ!!!
