Chaotic Mission Impossible: Fallout Poster Released, New Trailer Due This Week
Some missions are not a choice.
Mission Impossible is one of the longest-running and most successful action franchises of all time, and the sixth entry, Mission Impossible: Fallout, hits theaters in July. The first trailer was released in February, and a new one is expected this week. Ahead of that we have a new poster.
While the first poster was simple and stylish, this is a much more chaotic affair, with many of the supporting cast placed within the franchise's initials, together with various explosions, guns, planes, and cars. These in turn sit on top of Cruise's jacket--or maybe that IS his jacket. Check it out below:

Mission Impossible: Fallout reunites Cruise with co-stars Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Alec Baldwin. Superman star Henry Cavill joins the cast this time round, and it's directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who previously helmed 2015's Ghost Protocol. It hits theaters on July 27.
Cruise is famous for his crazy stuntwork on the Mission: Impossible movies, and at the CinemaCon exhibition in Las Vegas last month, he revealed footage of one of Fallout's most dangerous stunts. It's a skydiving sequence through a lightning storm, and the leap was from so high that it required oxygen tanks simply to breathe on the way down. "It took a year to figure this sequence out," Cruise explained at the event.
However, despite sequences like these, McQuarrie has previously stated that Fallout will be more character-based than some previous entries. "I don't want to string together a bunch of action scenes, I want to actually deal with character," he told Empire. "So I put Ethan in a bunch of complicated moral quandaries, and I'm trying to find ways to connect them--and then, ironically, the way to connect them was through giant action scenes."
