I'm not surprised Pokomon is getting good sales, Nintendo's plans to sale the game has been paying off, especiality with all the fun add on's.

i can't tell which is which.... i swear... but one probably looks cooler than the other. it's usually that way. one always kind of punches the other in the mouth for the first few months.

To Getoconnection and Fattyxboxbutt: It was the SNES that spawned the Playstation. Nintendo was working with Sony on a CD Peripheral (which was still going to be called the Nintendo SNES Playstation ... lol) to compete with Sega CD for the Genesis; however, Nintendo pulled the plug on Sony since the Sega CD was not selling well and decided to work on the next gen console (N64). This pissed Sony off so much that they decided to take their Playstation/SNES adaptor and make it into their own console. Now you can start thinking of the "what ifs" for this one ... lol. LOL, no ps3 and psp game son top 20, LOL. Sony really sux, this time is over for them, this is bad anyway ._. Now i want to see the fanboys: "Wait till next month", they say it on january, february, march, etc etc etc. Next time is gonna be: "Wait till next quarter/year".

Man, the list is probably going to stay the same for the rest of the summer. They always release the high profile games in the fall instead of the summer. We're out of school and bored, let us get some better games this summer than last summer please. I seriously hate waiting until August and September for the good stuff. Oh well, I guess I can enjoy nature, go to Vegas, hike, and go to Hawaii.

Almost 10 years later, Pokemon is still burning up the sales charts. If someone had told me back in 1998 that Pokemon would become a phenomenon like this, I wouldn't have believed them. Back then it was just a unique RPG.....now its a full fledged franchise.

meh i only just bought STALKER yesterday and my friend bought Rainbow Six Vegas to his Xbox360 for a pretty cheap price actually >_> i got my STALKER for a cheap week price in GAME.

RE: TTDog Sorry if I came off a bit too strong there, but I only wish for GameSpot to be known as a reliable and credible site. However, when you make a mistake and even post back to state there is no mistake, you lose some respect. If we, the readers do not catch their mistakes then who will? Are we supposed to let them run away with it? I'm not trying to disrespect GameSpot but when a mistake is found, you can only correct it. And, that is all I'm trying to do, to let them know of their mistake so they can correct it, so they will not mislead readers. Tor Thorsen, of GameSpot, you made a serious mistake. How can you say that God of War II wasn't on the NDP April charts when you yourself released the NDP results with God of War II in the number 9th spot, on May 17. So unless, you provide evidence and admit that the earlier article posted by GameSpot was false. I don't see how that can happen. And even if God of War II is not on the top 10, it's impossible for it to be below the original God of War in any way, as God of War II has outsold the original God of War each and every week of April by a long shot. NDP sales data supports this.

Its always the same. All the crappy reworked games get the top title. Hard core gamers have their votes crushed by kiddy people who but all those repetitive pokemon games. Talk about creativity, you start from same boring town with almost identical story line since the first pokemon game. Boring.... just like the trading cards. And havent we had enough of plumbers already? (Mario) He is been here since the old games and there is still no major improvement. Ever wonder why a average plumber (Mario) gets to rescue the princess? What are the mushroom kingdom guards doing? They should be sacked. Personally I say that modern titles such as Prince of Persia, Gears of Wars, Resistance and many more deserves the top place instead of these refurbished games.

Good to see the Pokemon still doing well. I grew up playing Blue and Red on the GB and now it leads a new generation of gamers with the DS versions. I hope that it's just as great for them as it was for me as a kid.

As much as people like to make fun of Pokemon, it is and always will be a system seller and the D/P are geat fun for all ages. If MS or Sony could buy the rights to the series, they would do it immediately.

what makes a system next gen? Is it how good the graphics are? what makes up a generation? its really when products come out, just like generations of people right? wouldnt that make Wii third gen as well? Talkin' bout MY g-g-g-generation!!!!!

Don't let the wii fool ya everyone, It's still not anymore next gen than a ps2 or xbox but with a motion controller, props to nintendo though for making a success out of it. They coulda flopped next gen wise but its looking like they might end up with 1/4 of the cut when all is said and done and each platform gets its titles out. Also, why is everyone still buying pokemon games? Anyone?
