Last weekend, Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson flew to his $70 million, 23,000 square-foot mansion in Beverly Hills to throw one heck of a housewarming party. We now have evidence of how epic the get-together was, courtesy of this batch of images from Rukes.
In attendance were gaming personalities such as former Blizzard Entertainment executive Rob Pardo and Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella. Pardo and Zampella are pictured above having a great time with celebrities Selena Gomez and Zedd, who also stopped by for the evening.
Notch and Mojang's other founders sold the company and the Minecraft franchise to Xbox maker Microsoft last year in a deal worth around $2.5 billion. Notch purchased the Beverly Hills mansion the week before Christmas, outbidding celebrity power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce.
He's since left Mojang. "It's not about the money, it's about my sanity," Notch said when the sale to Microsoft was announced in September.
