Cliff Bleszinski Offers Microsoft A Helping Hand on Gears 6
War is never truly over.
Original Gears of War trilogy designer Cliff Bleszinski has offered a helping hand in the development of the next Gears of War game. The currently inactive designer made the offer just after The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson announced his departure in order to join Blizzard.
On his Twitter page, Bleszinksi said he would be willing to consult on the Gears franchise, and that it was up to Microsoft to make it happen. He also stressed that there was an element he wanted to include in Gears of War 4 that was never added to the franchise.
Even if I gave 3 pages of notes on the Gears 6 take I'd wager the perception around the community would be lovely.

There's one thing they haven't gotten to that I wanted SO BAD for G4 that they never did. UGH.
Bleszinski left original Gears of War developer Epic Games back in 2012, eventually founding his own studio Boss Key Productions and creating the first-person shooter LawBreakers. Following the game's failure and the failure of battle royale game Radical Heights, Boss Key Productions closed in 2018.
When Boss Key Productions shut down, Bleszkinski said he would never make another video game. By late 2019, however, his tune had changed, and he said he was open to creating a game again. He’s also writing a memoir that will further detail his career in the game industry.
The Coalition took over development of Gears of War following Microsoft's acquisition of the franchise, and has thus far released Gears of War 4 and Gears 5 alongside a remastered version of the first game. The PC strategy game Gears Tactics will arrive on April 28. Unlike Gears 5, the game will only be single-player and will not feature any microtransactions.
