Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 1 Trailer Teases Mr. Miyagi's Last Secret

The combined dojo is back in Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 1, but can the senseis and students stay united?

As of the Cobra Kai Season 5 finale, the Cobra Kai dojos have been banished from the Valley and the combined dojo run by Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) is ready to fill the void. But in the first full trailer for Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 1, there are still some lingering tensions between Johnny and Daniel that go back to their rivalry in The Karate Kid.

The compromise between Johnny and Daniel was that they would equally teach both of their philosophies and fighting techniques to their students. Now, Daniel feels that Johnny is throwing out that balance while Johnny is offended at the idea that he needs to ask Daniel's permission to do anything. There are also some indications that the peace between the students of the combined dojo may be tenuous at best.

Netflix's description for the season indicates that the senseis and their students are considering whether they should compete in the Sekai Taikai, which is the world championships of karate. Now, they have to determine who among them are truly the best before they can compete on a global scale. Meanwhile, it appears that they may once again encounter Cobra Kai founder John Kreese (Martin Kove), who seems to have students of his own preparing for the Sekai Taikai.

Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 1 will premiere on Netflix on July 18, while Part 2 will be held back for November 28. The third and final part will wrap up the series in 2025.
