Cocoreccho goes Loco on PSN
Sony Japan's "interactive screensaver" joined by free trials of Skate, NBA 08, Sega Rally Revo, and Stuntman: Ignition.
As promised last week, Sony has updated the PlayStation Network with Sony Japan's quirky continuation of its roly-poly LocoRoco franchise, LocoRoco Cocoreccho! Four more demos also find their way to the PSN this week, along with a standard complement of miscellaneous media.

Somewhat disappointingly abridged from its illustrious Japanese title--Oiedeyo LocoRoco! Boo Boo Cocoreccho!--LocoRoco Cocoreccho! is available this week for $6.99. As opposed to the euphorically docile blob from the first game, players will move the world around a butterflylike creature to round up the errant LocoRoco, as detailed in GameSpot's recent preview of the game from this year's Tokyo Game Show. Rather than exclusively using the Sixaxis' motion-sensing technology to guide the world, players will also be able to control LocoRoco using standard gamepad controls. The game is rated E for Everyone.
Following up on the impressive five demos added to the PSN last week, Sony has updated the online service with four more. With the full version out next Monday, a try-before-you-buy sampler of EA's Skate is now available. EA Sports' NBA Live 08 free trial finds company with a demo of Sony's internally developed NBA 08. Lastly, trials for two racers also speed onto the PSN today: Sega Rally Revo and THQ's Stuntman: Ignition.
