Colin McRae Rally 3 update

Currently in development at Codemasters, Colin McRae Rally 3 seems to be progressing nicely. In the game, players will take on the role of Colin McRae, who has been given a three-year contract to win a series of championships for Ford Rallye Sport. Colin McRae 3 also focuses on the interaction between the player-controlled McRae and his codriver, Nicky Grist.

"This is all about personal involvement in a championship," said Guy Wilday, studio head at Codemasters. "No one's done anything like this with a rally game before." The championships will take players through eight countries.

Colin McRae Rally 3 is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox later this year.
