Community News Update: Monday 9/30
Time for another Community News Update, this week we're giving away Battlefield 4 Early Access keys, Puppeteer swag, and sweet, sweet social Insight.
Happy Birthday Pokemon Red/Blue! We took a brief survey of the resident GameSpot Pokemon Masters to find out what their go to starter was for Red/Blue. Ten random GameSpot Staff members were asked and here are the results; Charmander won with 5 votes, Squirtel came in second with 3 votes, and Bulbasaur brought up the rear with 2 votes. Who was your starter?
What to look forward to
Later this week, Chris Wilson and Jonathan Rogers of Grinding Gear will be coming by the GameSpot office this Thursday and will be showing off new character class, expanded PVP options, player guilds, and the finale to Act III to Path of Exile.
Are you ready for Battlefield 4? If so than you're gonna want to pay attention. This week we will be giving away Battlefield 4 Early Access keys to people who retweet our Now Playing page when the show goes live on Tuesday.
As an added bonus, we will also be giving away a few keys here in the comments section of today's GS Community News. Simply leave a comment below and include which platform you want (PC or X360).
Community Spotlight
This week's GameSpot Member spotlight shines on cakeorrdeath, he recently rejoined the moderator ranks and we couldn't be more excited to have him back!
A bit about him: cakeorrdeath has been a member of the site since 2006 so he has seen quite a bit. He was once a Master Moderator but stepped down for personal reasons. A personal favorite blog of his would be one written in late 2007 where he talks about users behavior towards moderators; it's a short but sweet little read.
Contests
This week we'll be giving away a charming little bundle thanks to the good folks at Sony Entertainment. We have copies of Puppeteer to giveaway along with three custom made, hand painted helmets. More details on that to come on Wednesday so make sure you're liking us on Facebook, and following us on Twitter.
