Cossacks: The Art of War adds league system

CDV Software has announced that Cossacks: The Art of War, its upcoming real-time strategy game expansion, will include a complete world-ranking league system. The league system will feature a series of ranks and titles ranging from the lowly esquire all the way up to baron, duke, and king. Players can climb their way up the ladder by competing and winning against other players online. The system also lets players join games as a spectator or a referee, and they can record in-game battles as an MPEG file to watch later or send to other players.

Cossacks: The Art of War will add a variety of improvements to the real-time strategy game Cossacks: European Wars. The expansion is in development at GSC Game World, the studio that created the original game, and it is scheduled for release in North America in the first quarter of 2002.
