Crackdown 3 Release Date Delayed

@freeryu: They need to re-invent Fable in the same sense Zelda did. Give us an ACTUAL open world to explore.

@freeryu: I played it quite a bit... it was NOWHERE close to a game that people would want to spend a lot of time (let alone money) on.

Gorgeous art, LOTS of in-your-face F2P MT, but very little actual gameplay. All of its best (few) gameplay elements are found in the far superior Fortnite.

@freeryu: I don't think the mob made up of people willing to riot over "Fable Legends" is really large enough to scare Microsoft.

@gamerbum: Delays are not for the "Quality of the game" in 95% of the cases out there. It's because they can't get it passed cert / compile and are throwing shit to the wind to even get it on the shelves. I've seen the cert process - my Dog could get a game passed cert while eating a keyboard and pawing at a monitor. Just think what this tub of crap will turn out to be like. Oh the last great game that was delayed "To bring you the best experience possible" was Mass Effect Andromeda.

@Carpetfluff: If you blame MS for the lack of cloud power destruction you are way off base. Its all the gamers bitching about mandatory online that ruined the entire thought of cloud based processing for now. it can be done but if all of the customer base isnt online always they would be spending developing effort on a feature for only a part of their base. It was touted as a feature, heck it might have actually been the thing that kind of saved a mediocre game. without that feature maybe they were left with an EH game. seems obvious

@Carpetfluff: it could end up doing a Dead Island 2. ive still got my original POS posters that the developers sent us a few year ago for the version that now no longer excists

@Carpetfluff: they never once said the destruction thing is gonna be on single player. The mode is only available in multiplayer.... Which they never demo again after like 2014 or 15 demo.

Oh well did anyone see the recent gameplay demo? Damn it was abysmal

@graffitiheart: wolfenstein, destiny 2, lord of the rings and assassins creed seems cool. Got more stuff on the other consoles but on the xb for sure PUBG gonna be a good game for a while.

@Byshop: You're right - it's just another way of saying the same thing. i mean if they said "we need more time to work on it" then it's pretty obvious it's going to be delayed.

It doesn't make sense. The fact that they need more time to work on it isn't a reason for the delay - it's another of saying "it's delayed". A reason might have been the lead designed died or the code was hacked and they need to re-code the whole thing.

@moonco: You really need to adjust your frames of reference. You think an early showing of a new game could ever be a "disaster"? Wow! The only way it could have been a "disaster" would be if it was so poor people were climbing over and injuring each other to get out of the theatre where it was being shown.

What you mean is that the graphics, or the gameplay, or both, of the showing weren't quite up to the subjective levels you had randomly stuck in your mind.

Get some perspective please.

@moonco: Given our current circumstances, that future could lead to a world of people six or seven console generations ahead. A complete redesign would be in order to account for projected technology, giving way to a game that's indistinguishable from the one that now exists effectively nullifying most, if not all, efforts done so far in its development.
