Crimson Alliance confirmed for Xbox 360

A rpg for Kinect or more correctly a hack and slash? So you actually have to do that using the kinect? Co-op seems to be the way to go regarding motion controlled games. It will be interesting to see if such a game can pan out.

They failed to directly mention it in this article, but let's not forget that this is an announced Kinect game. All of the dialog, etc. that may be missing may be due to the fact that they are working to make the controls the best they can possibly be. As the first RPG type game to show up as a Kinect game I am not expecting it to get a 9 out of 10 rating, or even a 7 out of 10 for that matter. However, people making this type of game is what is going to drive new ideas to make these types of games to work better. Hopefully we will get to look back at this and think of how it spearheaded some of the better games to come out for Kinect!

@Landsharkk my apologies, I thought the PC version had it. Either way it was still a great game... I hope this one is also great, shame about it not having online co-op... still, I like playing offline co-op with my girlfriend, we just did Portal 2 and Lego Harry Potter.. we are super cool

Boring dialog? They clearly aren't ones to delve into a better plot.

I don't know about you, I love managing inventory when it's well done. By that, I mean not tons of useless junk like in Dragon Age but like Diablo where you need to chose if you keep the badass sword or the kickass sword. I also like tons of dialogs. For that, Dragon Age is something I like, somewhat (in towns it got boring, but in story events, it was cool) or more recently, LA Noire.

Sounds Fable-y. No inventory and action rpg. No boring dialog is a good thing, that means they only have entertaining and useful dialog instead. Or is it a mime game? mime action rpg.

Well lets hope MS announces some games to appeal to the Main stream audience.

Erm, I like my backpack rummaging, it is part of what makes A-RPG games so replayable and worth the cost....do these FPS tools even know how to build a character around weapons/armor/shields etc. PASS KKTHXBB

Doesn't sound like a first day purchase in my opinion. Sounds interesting but doesn't exactly grab me.

Why do people think fantasy games are invariably RPGs? This just sounds a like a hack n' slash sort of thing...

@mtait01 The biggest problem with Torchlight was that NO version had co-op, xbox or PC. The port over to xbox 360 was great, but had nothing to do with lack of co-op. Anyway, This Crimson Alliance will be on my list because it does have 4 player OFFLINE co-op (like how consoles were originally intended to be used).

if there is co-op I am more intrested... that was the biggest problem with the port of Torchlight of the 360

@kazumashadow I agree if you choose to lack character customization you better make damn sure the story and gameplay kickass lol.

So the name of the game and a 37 word statement is all about its known of this game and people are already whining? At least wait until seeing a trailer or some screenshots are released!

Too bad, character customisation is a strong point in a game in my opinion. Take Elder Scrolls for an example, the character customisation is great and that is good, it was one of the thing i most loved in that game.

Can't find anything about it on youtube, nor does gfaqs even have a page for it. I highly doubt its coming out this summer when you can't even find anything about it and they just announced it this past week. Dunno if I have ever heard of a game coming out mere months after they announce it. Developers of FPS working on an RPG....idk i smell Crimson Alliance: The Call of Reach. "Boring dialogue"...isn' that like the backbone of any good rpg?

the title will be an all-new action role-playing game with a heavy emphasis on combat over character interaction. ^^translation zero character customization, it is what it is L:PL.

What do they know about RPGs, LOL. Will be mediocre at best.

So the rumor of ten new 360 exclusives has drop to 9 for me Kinect Me LOL does any still use Kinect. Anyways I'll keep an eye out for both Fusion: Genesis when ever its due out and Crimson Alliance. as long as both don't have anything to do with kinect. I'm look forward to any new titles. Is it just me or is this generation filled with sequels and what not i'm getting a little annoyed with it i want something fresh and new and not just another call of duty nonck of to in the first person shooter gender to.

Daggerdale proved to be a arpg flop. Hopefully, this will be a quality game.

Oh man, that Crimson Alliance design (logo?) looks incredible! They should try an Ultima VII box art design approach and just have a solid black background with maybe subtle red/orange plastered on the front. Tell me that wont catch people's attention!

I was fooled by the title. i thought it was gonna be a sequel to Crimson skies. but in either case this game does sound intriguing. I still want a crimson skies sequel though!!
