Critically Acclaimed Indie Games Headline the Latest Humble Bundle

The latest bundle discounts some indie favorites including Limbo, Antichamber, and Braid.

Humble Bundle is known for its discounted collections of games, and today the organization launched one full of favorite games from past bundles. The All-Star Humble Indie Bundle includes eight games, all discounted from their normal prices.

Antichamber
Antichamber

You can pay whatever you want for World of Goo, Super Meat Boy, and Dustforce DX, but you'll need to pay at least a dollar to get their Steam keys. If you bump up your payment to the average purchase ($4.43 at the time of this writing), you'll get the Dungeon Defenders Collection, Limbo, and Braid. Shelling out the average plus $1, or $5.43, nets you Risk of Rain and Antichamber.

As always, you can choose to give the money to either charity or the developers of the games. This bundle's proceeds benefit the Watsi and Child's Play charities.

All games are available on Windows, Mac, and Linux, and the bundle also comes with the soundtracks for every game but Risk of Rain and Super Meat Boy. Which games interest you? Let us know in the comments.

Ha, I own about 2/3 of these games, but all for different consoles. I didn't get much into pc gaming until last year, so I'll gladly take this bundle!

That's a cool bundle of games. Unfortunately, I own them all from other Humble Bundles.

Ah well, I can still gift a bundle to my brothers!

I was never into Super Meat Boy, Braid, and Limbo. I have yet to play World of Goo. Dungeon Defenders is pretty cool but Risk of Rain is awesome. I had a 3-hour session with it two weeks ago(survived for 3 hours straight) and other than raiding in World of Warcraft which requires that kind of time commitment, I can't remember the last time I've spent that much time all at once playing a game. For me, Risk of Rain comes highly recommended.

I don't know why I am just recently paying attention to this humble bundle thing... I always heard about it but never used it. It's amazing. I like that you can decide what percentage of your money goes where, as well. Consoles need a similar system.. I am aware of the Nintendo one. It was underwhelming.

@dcno07: I always wonder if everyone starts selecting all the money goes to charity, would that kill off their bundles business? I know realistically that wouldn't happen as the vast majority are not going to even touch the sliders, but I wonder if the Humble "tip" is actually the only money they get from a bundle. Or, is there some other behind the scenes way they make money on these bundles?

@hystavito: They have the humble store too, which doesn't have the sliders (unless I just never noticed them). I just assume that they get a huge tax relief on their income based on their charitable setup.

@sephsplace: Well that's the same question, if everyone slides in whatever way that makes the Humble tip zero, is there some other way they make money from that bundle sale?

I was thinking that devs might somehow pay, maybe these bundles are so popular they actually have to pay in some cases to be included, or maybe there's some kind of minimum fee that gets kicked back if Humble doesn't get enough tips. I went with the charity question because I figured all those things were far less likely with a charity.

I don't consider any of those games great and I've played none of them.

@jhawk: When did I judge them? I said I don't consider any of them great. That's not a judgement, it's a lack of judgement. I do not care for any of those games, I have no interest in them.

This would have been more appropriately titled the Humble "You Already Own All of These Great Games But Give Some Money to Charity, Will Ya?" Bundle.

But seriously, Meat Boy + Limbo + Braid alone is fantastic.

@MrBlondeX:

> Give money to charity

>Implying that money actually goes to a charitable cause

>Implying that anyone is going to actually pay more than the bare minimum.

>Implying that just going over to The Pirate Bay for 10 minutes isn't a better deal than literally any price

>Implying indie games are even worth the effort.

k.

@MrBlondeX: I actually missed out on Braid and Super Meat Boy in that bundle from long ago, so I'm really happy they've made a return!
