Cyber Monday 2020 is here following a busy week of Black Friday sales. The annual online-only shopping bonanza that marks the end of the year's busiest deals period has begun, offering up tons of deals for budget shoppers looking to check names off their holiday shopping lists--though holiday deals will certainly continue throughout December. 2020 is also an interesting year for Cyber Monday. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, online shopping became an even bigger focus for Black Friday than in recent years, and we didn't see many in-store-only doorbusters as the holiday is usually known for. That's a good thing--all the best gaming deals were available online--but it also means Cyber Monday just feels like an extension of Black Friday, even more so than usual.

So is it worth shopping on Cyber Monday? Will there be any Cyber Monday-specific deals? And will the elusive PS5 and Xbox Series X make an appearance? Here's what you should know to prepare for Cyber Monday 2020 shopping today. We've also rounded up the best Cyber Monday game deals from each major retailer, so be sure to give that a look as well.

Cyber Monday deals: What to expect

Cyber Monday officially kicks off Monday, November 30--but in an increasingly online world, that's sort of lost all meaning. For years now, Cyber Monday has been blending with Black Friday to become two full weeks of deals (why restrict it to just one day?), and that's truer than ever in 2020. Expect to see many of the same Black Friday deals resurface on Cyber Monday, so it's a great chance to snag that deal that sold out before you got to it. That said, there will be Cyber Monday-exclusive deals as well. Some Cyber Monday deals will be available for only one day, while others will span the entire week. Most Cyber Monday sales will include a mix of one-day and week-long deals.

Some retailers are keeping their Cyber Monday deals under wraps for the big day, but others have released their Cyber Monday ad, and naturally, Amazon's Cyber Monday sale is already in full swing.

Why wait until Monday when you could start offering deals right now? Amazon's Cyber Monday sale kicked off right after Black Friday and runs through November 30. We're seeing a ton of the same discounts on offer, but there will likely be some good lightning deals on Monday.

Target Cyber Monday sale

Target's Cyber Monday sale is live now through December 5. Though the game deals aren't as impressive as what we're seeing elsewhere, the Target Cyber Monday sale includes nice discounts on Christmas lights, gaming headsets, and, notably, a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe/Super Mario Party Switch bundle for $80.

Best Buy Cyber Monday sale

The Best Buy Cyber Monday sale has just kicked off with a Cyber Flash Sale that's offering Cyber Monday deals early. The Cyber Week sale will continue all week long with deals on 4K TVs, monitors, and a great deal on Nintendo eShop and Xbox gift cards.

Walmart Cyber Monday sale

Walmart's Black Friday sale ends Saturday night, but don't expect to see Walmart Cyber Monday deals kick off until Monday itself. Walmart has not released its Cyber Monday ad or teased its upcoming deals yet--but in the meantime, you can shop its current deals below.

Newegg Cyber Weekend sale

PC and electronics store Newegg had a great Black Friday sale, but it's now moved on to its Cyber Weekend sale. It's unclear if this will stretch into Monday or end Sunday night, but either way, Newegg is one of the best places to shop for PC parts, gaming monitors, laptops, and hard drives.

The Kohl's Cyber Monday sale has already kicked off, so you don't have to wait until Monday to shop. The Kohl's Cyber Monday sale runs until December 2 and already features markdowns on smartwatches, kitchen accessories, headphones, speakers, and more.

If you're looking to buy the newly-released PS5 or Xbox Series X/S during the holiday shopping rush, it's going to be tricky. Launch day has come and gone, but stock is still pretty limited.
