Cyberpunk 2077 Adds DLSS 3.5 Support This Week
Nvidia offers a shiny new coating for an infamous RPG.
Nvidia DLSS 3.5, Nvidia's latest ray-tracing technology, debuts in Cyberpunk 2077 with its 2.0 update on September 21. GeForce RTX and Nvidia RTX users can look forward to a graphically enhanced version using Cyberpunk 2077’s Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode.
DLSS uses what Nvidia calls Ray Reconstruction, an AI-powered program that improves ray-tracing quality. You can see the difference between the same Cyberpunk 2077 scene below, where the brighter colors and more-defined structures are visible in the picture with DLSS 3.5 enabled.
Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC will also come with full ray-tracing and Ray Reconstruction via DLSS 3.5 when it arrives on September 26. Nvidia announced that Lies of P, Party Animals, Warhaven, and Witchfire will receive the same privilege at the time of their launch.
"Thanks to DLSS 3.5’s smart technology, fueled by AI rendering power, you can experience Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty’s newest location Dogtown at its very best--with sharper images, more accurate lighting, and the highest frame rates possible," said Jakub Knapik, CD Projekt Red's VP of Art.
Besides graphics, Cyberpunk 2.0 rebuilds gameplay staples like skill trees, the cyberware system, and vehicular combat amongst other features. You can check out our full Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty review here, where it earned a 10/10.
