Cyberpunk 2077 Event Teased For June
An event slated for around the time of E3 may reveal whatever CD Projekt Red had planned for the show.
Cyberpunk 2077 is inching ever closer to its fall release, but we won't have to wait too long to see something new from CD Projekt Red's next RPG epic. The studio has teased an event it calls Night City Wire to take place on June 11.
The tweet doesn't give any details of what to expect from this event, only telling fans to "get ready." Night City is the fictional setting for Cyberpunk, a sprawling mega-city that was constructed with the help of real city planners.
June 11 is a meaningful date--it was to be the last day of E3 2020, before that event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. It's hard to say how much CDPR has shifted its promotion plans around the various cancellations, but Night City Wire could be a showcase for whatever it was planning to announce at E3.

Cyberpunk recently had its ratings leaked, revealing some of the adult-themed content in the game. The leak doesn't give much in the way of spoilers, but it does confirm this isn't a game for the little ones--as if the lady with the removable jaw didn't. Microsoft and CDPR also recently showed off a special edition Xbox One X and controller themed after Cyberpunk, which will be the final special edition Xbox One X.
