In reaching this Saturday's OGN Champions Summer final, dade, Mid laner of Samsung Blue, has already made history, as the first player to reach four OGN Champions finals, but he has a chance to set an even more significant record.

OGN Champions finals appearances

4 - dade

3 - MadLife, RapidStar, Woong, CloudTemplar

2 - Shy, watch, Helios, Ambition, Cpt Jack, Lustboy, Faker, Impact, Piglet, PoohManDu, bengi, imp, Mata, DanDy, Acorn, Heart, Deft, Spirit, KaKAO

In the eight seasons of OGN Champions played thusfar, the most titles ever secured by an individual player stands at two, a record dade shares with all five of the members of the dominant SK Telecom T1 K line-up, which terrorised 2013 from the Summer onwards. If dade's Samsung Blue can secure the title tomorrow, and they are sizeable favourites to, then he will become the first player to win three OGN Champions titles.

The incredible MadLife reached three finals, but came away with only a solitary title. Faker is the most dominant individual player in the history of both Korean LoL and League of Legends itself, yet his title count sits at two. dade already set a unique record last season, becoming the first player to win an OGN title with two entirely different line-ups. That he did it as one of the star players of both teams, a distinction worth making as watch was in position to set the same record if the opposing NaJin White Shield had won, is even more significant to the accomplishment.

Earlier this season, in reaching the semi-finals, dade again added his name to the top of the history books, reaching his fifth OGN Champions semi-final. Prior to this season, it was the old guard of MadLife, Ambition, Lustboy and CloudTemplar who sat atop this record, with five appearances each, but this season saw dade join their ranks, along with three of his ex-team-mates from White: DanDy, imp, Mata.

2 - Flame, Save, inSec, Ggoong, Zefa, GorillA, MaKNooN, PraY, Cain, SSONG, Acorn, Heart, Deft, Spirit, PawN, Homme

If dade triumps on Saturday, he will effectively own or be tied for most of the significant career records in OGN Champions history. For a player who was dragging his team down in the latter part of 2013, dade's renaissance has been more than just a return to the elite level of play, he has been the most important player in 2014.

The OGN Champions Summer final, between Samsung Blue and KT Arrows, begins Saturday the 16th of August at 03:00 PDT / 06:00 EDT / 12:00 CEST / 19:00 KST.
