Acclaim has released new information on and accompanying media for the park editor feature in Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2. More than 180 pieces, including ramps, rails, bridges, phone booths, super-ramps, and construction equipment, can be used to design bike parks in the game. A variety of generic environments are available, including such locations as a beach and wooded environments. Primary among the peripheral options available in the park editor is the terrain tool, which lets players raise or lower any piece of land to create multilayered terrain. Additionally, a so-called gap tool lets players assign point values to specific jumps, and a lighting tool lets them illuminate their park as they wish.
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 will be released for the PS2 on September 6. The game will also be released for the Nintendo GameCube and the Microsoft Xbox, both later this year.
