DC Railroad Tycoon II Announced
Gathering of Developers officially announces a Dreamcast version of Railroad Tycoon II.
Although previously confirmed to be in the works by Tremor Entertainment, The Gathering of Developers announced on Monday that Railroad Tycoon II is headed for the Dreamcast. This will be the first game published by The Gathering of Developers for the console market.
Originally developed for the PC platform by PopTop Software, Tremor Entertainment is porting Railroad Tycoon II to the Dreamcast. The PlayStation version of the game was published by Take-Two Interactive.
"PopTop's Railroad Tycoon II continues to be a huge success, winning multiple awards and selling hundreds of thousands of copies," said Harry Miller, president of The Gathering. "Gathering is thrilled to enter the console market with Railroad Tycoon II as the launch title. We look forward to similar success on Sega Dreamcast."
Railroad Tycoon II for the Sega Dreamcast will release in summer of 2000. The game will be on display at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this May.
