DDR Extreme dance-dances its way to retail
Latest title in Konami's dancing game series is the first to feature EyeToy support.
Konami announced today that Dance Dance Revolution Extreme, the latest version of its popular dancing game, has shipped for the PlayStation 2. In addition to a variety of new modes and features, DDR Extreme is the first game in the series to support Sony's EyeToy digital camera peripheral.
An all-new party mode features a variety of minigames. Some are played with Konami's dance pad controller alone, while some are played with the dance controller and the EyeToy simultaneously. And, of course, more-standard modes feature the popular dancing gameplay.
The song list boasts more than 65 tunes from such popular artists as Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys, and The Village People. Remixed versions of songs such as "Like a Virgin" and "Ladies' Night" are also present, and some songs--like Junior Senior's highly appropriate "Move Your Feet"--feature their original music videos.
Rated "E" for Everyone, DDR Extreme will retail for $59.99 when bundled with a dance mat, while it will retail for $39.99 as a stand-alone game.
