Dead Cells' Bad Seed DLC Is Out Now
I will avenge my mushroom kingdom.
The much anticipated DLC for Dead Cells, Bad Seed, is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It'll cost you just $5.
Developer Motion Twins commemorated the launch with a new animated trailer, making you out to be the bad guy on a killing rampage that leaves at least one mushroom child having to regrow his father at the end. It's an entertaining trip.
Bad Seed isn't adding additional endgame content to Dead Cells, but rather giving you new routes to explore on the game's critical path. You'll be able to explore the Arboretum, a tranquil biome home to cute creatures with deceiving looks, and The Swamp, an overgrown settlement filled with enemy ambushes.
You can get a taste of some of the new enemies, weapons, and challenges Bad Seed will throw at you in the gameplay below.

Dead Cells has received 17 updates since launch now, with some vital gameplay changes and additional content leading up to the launch of Bad Seed. But it's been a great game from the start, with our own 9/10 Dead Cells review saying, "It's one of the better examples of how to remix ideas without losing their individual strengths."
