Dead Island Definitive Collection Gets Vicious Trailer Filled With Silly Quotes

Deep Silver has released a new trailer for the upcoming Dead Island Definitive Collection. As you might have expected, this video is vicious and gory, showing off a variety of zombie kills and more.

The video is also filled with a bunch of silly quotes and stats, including things like "More tools of destruction than the dentist" and "More walking corpses than Washington D.C." Take a look:

The $40 Dead Island Definitive Collection comes with remastered versions of Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, as well as a mini-game called Retro Revenge. This will be available physically and digitally on May 31 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Also on that date, Deep Silver will release each game individually through PSN and Xbox Live for $20 each. If you want physical versions, you need to buy the Collection.

In other news about the Dead Island franchise, development on Dead Island 2 has resumed, with LittleBigPlanet developer Sumo Digital taking over for Yager. Additionally, Deep Silver has teased that it will make a "major announcement" at E3, though this may not necessarily be about Dead Island.

Just came from another gaming site and the stupidity of ppl astound me. So many ppl saying "Don't get Dead Island, just play Dying Light! It's made by a much better developer.." No, it's the same dev, and they actually really wanted to come back after Yager quit, and work on Dead Island 2. It wasn't meant to be though, and personally I enjoy all the games. Dying Light is fundamentally better than Dead Island, but Techland were learning then, and used that for Dying Light, so of course Dead Island is worse, doesn't mean ppl can't enjoy both games. I love Dying Light, but honestly having only 1 character was a huge flaw for me. Having 4 ppl, play the same character, with the same builds, using pretty much the same weapons, ruins co-op for me. So I play Dying Light for SP, and DI for co-op, well DI:Riptide as I just enjoy that one far more.

@inebriantia: Dying Light is what Riptide should have been. Riptide was pushed back and released as a full game, but was really just an expansion. Yager was a bad decision to put on Dead Island 2. Yes, they got some really good story and campaigns under their belt but they don't do multiplayer very well.

Way to milk this ip to death.

I played the 1st and while it was buggy and clunky most of the time it was still fun till the end but not something i would play all over again, I got Dying Light for that.

Skipped Riptide and will skip this.

Don't care what anyone says, I really enjoy playing Dead Island and Riptide last-gen years ago and now, I'm totally on bored for this remaster version and totally looking forward to getting Dead Island Definitive Collection on my PS4. I love zombie games!!!

I loved dead Island but I beat the F out of both games already, i beat DI 3X on X360 2X on PS3 and riptide 5X on PS3 maybe more than that IDR so not realy looking to go back, DI2 O would have been more interested in but seeing as what Yager was doing I would have passed on that too....MP only? frack that noise....

@MrFreehuggs: Dying Light is just as meh on the story as DI is even more so honestly and unless you really like parkour that;s the only saving grace of Dying Light, personally I thought DL was boring, I prefer Dead Island......

Dead islands flow is simple progress, DL's flow is a lot of moronic talk about nothing and a forced fight in the end.....rise up or Riser or Raise as he's called who really wanted to fight that prick?? I didn't, after meeting him I was like frack these guys yet you keep going back for more.....you had to impress him why???? why did his opinion matter??? just shoot the foo, and be done with it ugh that's another thing fighting human enemies was a bitch.....

I felt the story was actually OK, but tbh, I didn't really care, because the gameplay was really good.

It was really fluid, the parkour and killing both were awesome.
