Dead Rising 4 Confirmed, Watch First Gameplay Trailer
Frank West looks set to make its return.
[Update] Dead Rising 4 was shown during Microsoft's E3 press conference, and many of the weapons featured in the screenshots were shown. The game was also given a "holiday 2016" release date. Watch the announcement trailer below.
[Original Story] Leaked images of what is purported to be Dead Rising 4 have appeared online, showing off the game's protagonist--rumoured to the first Dead Rising's Frank West--wielding weird weaponry, as is typical of a Dead Rising title.
The images were posted by Twitter user Wario64, who has a reliable history of leaking games ahead of time. Previous leaks suggested Dead Rising 4 will take place in Willamette, Colorado, where the first game also took place. This time, however, the game will be set during Christmas.

In one of the leaked images, the main character can be seen battling zombies in an outside environment with Christmas lights hanging on its trees. A second image with the main character wearing a power suit and a giant hammer also features a Christmas tree in the background. You can check out the images using the Tweet above.
Two gifs of the game in action has also been posted on Twitter and NeoGAF. Take a look below.

It has been suggested Dead Rising 4 will be released for Xbox One and it could also ship for PC (Dead Rising 3 was previously exclusive to Microsoft platforms). This has been bolstered by reports about "Project Helix," which is Microsoft's effort to release all flagship titles across console and PC.
In May during an earnings briefing, Capcom said it would launch three unannounced games before April 2017. One of the games is expected to sell four million copies, suggesting it may come from an established franchise, though nothing yet has tied this to Dead Rising. It's also worth noting that there are rumors that Resident Evil 7 could be announced at E3 as well.
