[UPDATE] Microsoft reached out to GameSpot for clarification on Dead Rising 4's season pass. It's currently only available to purchase in the Deluxe edition, but you'll be able to purchase it on its own when the game launches in December.

Original story: Microsoft today announced the content coming to Dead Rising 4 through its season pass, including an 18-hole mini golf course.

Now Playing: GS News Update: Dead Rising 4 DLC Includes Mini Golf and More

This is called Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf. It offers up 18 holes of "pure wanton destruction," with online multiplayer support for up to four players. The fairways are spread throughout the game's setting of Willamette, Colorado, including the mall. Instead of a putter, you'll use guns to move the ball.

No Caption Provided

"Watch your score as you do not want to bogey in this zombie filled eighteen-hole golf course. Mini golf is made crazier with the zombie horde as obstructions and hazards," Microsoft said.

Also included in the Dead Rising 4 season pass is the Stocking Stuffer Holiday Pack, which includes holiday-themed weapons, vehicles, zombies, and costumes. Lastly, there is an expansion called Frank Rising that sees the main character get infected and embark on a search for a cure before he becomes a zombie.

The Dead Rising 4 season pass costs $20 and will be available on Xbox One and PC. Microsoft will also offer an $80 Deluxe Edition that comes with the game and the season pass.

Unfortunately, no images or video of Dead Rising 4's DLC has been released. We also don't know if the season pass content will be sold individually and what it might cost in that setup.

Dead Rising 4 launches for Xbox One and PC on December 6.

Mini golf really? Starting to see an 80.00 trend for games (bf1 dlx ed)

This may all suck but I'm in they got me take my money. I was afraid DR3 might have been the last. Glad to see it wasn't ?? if I remember 3 wanted $30. For the season pass so $80. For all ok!

Always wished that zombie games would learn from State of Decay...here's hoping.

Um, am I missing something. Frank is already infected, he's been infected since the first game. Hell, you even create the damn vaccine in the game. That DLC story doesn't make any sense unless this some AU Frank.

@Sophette: They stated some time ago that this more like a reboot.

Sounds like some pretty good stuff. I love the Dead Rising games, well 1 and 3 at least. I did enjoy 2 but just not as much as the others. Really pumped for this one.

So it begins...

I remember when all of these little things were just features scattered around the mall. Before it's finished, this game will have dozens of DLC activities.

Must every game require a season pass these days? When ever I see a game that has a season pass attached...I run.

@computernoises: Trust, the sarcasm was noted bro. I wanted to stress the fact that this DLC crap was included and for cheaper years ago...but I do understand that games cost more to make these days and I understand that companies have deadlines...but this penny pinching bs is disgusting. It's growing the industry, but in a dishonorable way.
