Dead Rising Movie Hits Xbox This Weekend

Dead Rising: Watchtower, the upcoming movie based on Capcom's zombie game franchise, will debut March 27 through Sony's streaming service Crackle. But Xbox owners can watch it a week early.

Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb has announced that Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners can watch the movie through the Crackle app on Xbox Live starting Friday, March 20. The film will be available exclusively through the Crackle app on Xbox until March 26.

Like the game, Watchtower takes place during a zombie outbreak. After a government-produced vaccine fails to stop the infection from spreading, four survivors seek out the root of the epidemic while fighting to stay alive against hordes of undead.

Watchtower was directed by Leprechaun: Origins director Zach Lipovsky. It stars Jesse Metcalfe, Meghan Ory, Virginia Madsen, and Dennis Haysbert, with Rob Riggle in the role of Frank West.

In other video game movie news, the first trailer for Adam Sandler's Pixels has arrived.

X1 has so many great apps and they said they are bringing 50 more. PSN's app library is dismal. This coming from a guy that bought PS4 first because I drank the Kool Aid and later realized what a better console X1 really was. Not tr0lling, just stating my opinion. Until you see what features each console has and set aside console specs, you'll always be oblivious to the truth.

I didn't know there was going to be a Dead Rising movie.

Edit: Oh crap, it's Watchtower that did The Leprechaun: Origin, I ever watch it but everyone told me it was the worst Leprechaun movie and I watch all The Leprechaun movies so I won't bother with Dead Rising but if it's free, count me in.

The acting wasn't that bad in the Leprechaun movie but the script was.hirrible. They made the leprechaun look like a B.O.W from Resident Evil

I thought this was just announced as a film just going into development a few weeks ago... Yet it is ready to watch now? Oh well, I may have got that wrong but if not that didn't take long to go through production.

So it looks like it actually might be good... Even though this is a movie based on a game that was based on a movie that was based on game that was inspired by a movie.
