Death Stranding And Half-Life Are Crossing Over On PC

Wake up, Sam Bridges.

Death Stranding is coming to PC in June, and as part of its exclusives features the Hideo Kojima directed game will have crossover content with Valve's Half-Life.

Publisher 505 revealed the special crossover alongside the announcement of Death Stranding's June 2 release date for PC players, but has kept most of the details secret for now. Aside from a small clip of Sam Bridges wearing a Headcrab at the end of the trailer, there's no indication what other items from the popular shooter will be making an appearance in Death Stranding.

Half-Life is set to get its first entry in over a decade this month, with the VR-exclusive Half-Life: Alyx launching on March 23. It supports a bunch of VR headsets that work with SteamVR, so make sure you read our guide on which is the best fit for you.

Death Stranding was one of our favorite games in 2019, scoring a prestigious 9/10 in our review written by Kallie Plagge. In it, she wrote, "It is a dense, complex, slow game with a plot that really goes places, but at its core, it never stops being about the sheer power and purpose we can find in human connection, and that is its most remarkable achievement."

This game is ONLY successful for the same exact reason the StarWars sequels are.

Name recognition "as in Hideo Kojima" the awesome dude who is beloved(formerly by me)

for MetalGear Solid and being the gamers developer..

~But Death STranding is/was a disgrace to all gamers. esp MetalGearSolid fans...

GUess us western Gamers are just stoopid FPS types.

*I put like 60 hours into DeathStranding. right around until I got to 'Mama'

and I did every side quest or maxing out each lacation..

But all the while was hoping it would improve or there would be some type of gamechanger.

NOPE..The AI of the former porter badguys was NES like bad/predictable..

I blame Hideo for not advertising the game as what it was...

**and if you are a Hideo fan(still) and stand by it then why are you content with mediocre fun like this?

whatevs,,im pretty much over it and haven't posted bout it in awhile..

Why associate a beloved franchise like Half-Life with a shit courier simulator? Valve certainly doesn't need the money. This is just wrong.

@BassMan: Ha ha! They aren't the first devs to use Half-Life as a crossover type thing when briging a game to the PC. Half-Life is just one of those high level games that are associated with PC Gaming the way that Mario is to Nintendo, or Halo is to Xbox.

@BassMan: it’s not a shit game. There are tons of folks who played it and loved it. It might not be a game FOR YOU but just because you didn’t like it , it does not make the game bad by and stretch at all.

Three weeks to go for Half-Life: Alyx. Silly I know, but pretty hyped for it. Been a long time since I really looked forward to a PC release.
