Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps rolls out
Gamers can strap on Rommel or Monty's boots now that Encore has shipped its WWII RTS to stores.
Today Encore Software ordered Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps to the retail battlefield. Developed by Digital Reality, the WWII RTS lets players engage in the pivotal 1942-1943 North Africa campaign. The campaign saw Field Marshal Erwin Rommel and then-General Bernard "Monty" Montgomery engaging in rapidly-moving battles in the Egyptian, Libyan, and Tunisian deserts. In the game, players can use all the armor, air, and infantry units involved in the original desert campaign. The game is rated "T" for Teen and retails for $39.99.
