Destiny 2 Past Is Prologue Event Starts Soon, Offering Hard-To-Get Rewards In New Ways
Bungie shared the full list of rewards ahead of the event.
The Destiny 2 Past Is Prologue event, which precedes the arrival of Episode: Heresy, kicks off next week. The event, announced in today's This Week in Destiny, will be centered around Eris and the Drifter. Developer Bungie says that those who played Riven's Wishes last year will find a familiar flow once more, starting on January 21.
Starting at the Tuesday reset, you can visit the Drifter to grab quests that will reward you with the Bento Tokens currency. You can then exchange them for rewards over at Eris. You'll be able to earn a total of eight Bento Tokens throughout the event.
The event offers a promising incentive via its rewards, providing alternative means of getting a number of gear and currency items normally locked to certain activities. You can get your hands on Spoils of Conquest, which are only obtained when completing raid encounters, Adept weapons outside of high difficult nightfalls and raids, and Artifice armor without the need to tackle Master dungeons. In addition, the Chatterwhite shader is returning for Past Is Prologue. Once you've gotten five Bento Tokens, you'll unlock the shader for your collection.
The Past Is Prologue event will be available for two weeks, from January 21 to February 4, so plan accordingly. In the meantime, a reminder that the culmination of Revenant Act 3 has already teased what's to come, including a pair of legendary weapons.
