Destiny 2: Season Of The Witch Seasonal Challenges Guide - Week 6
Here's how challenges work and what's asked of you during Destiny 2's Season of the Witch.
As we near the end of September and prepare to wake Green Day up from its annual slumber, the action is slowly heating up in Destiny 2's Season of the Witch.
Will the terrible events of previous timelines repeat in this current slice of chronal chaos and see Eris Morne corrupted in her self-proclaimed temporary role as the Hive god of Vengeance? Or will the Vanguard's resident witch break free from fate and forge a new future? The only way to know for sure is to see how the seasonal storyline plays out. And while you're at it, finish some seasonal objectives.
For Week 6, the challenges are relatively simple. You'll want to make certain that you have a long-range weapons equipped--pulse rifles, bows, or trace rifles--one of your Light subclasses, and that you're running around Savathun's Throneworld crushing Lucent Hive lightbearers and their Ghosts. You can usually find these Hive skulking about in the Lost Sectors, and in the Marsh, two Lucent Hive lightbearers can normally be found outside the entrance to the area where Rhulk's Pyramid ship is located.
The real challenge in week 6 will likely be Trial by Firing Squad, as you'll be required to win several rounds of the Trials of Osiris PvP event. It's worth focusing on this particular challenge, as you'll get a Trials weapon as a reward once you successfully complete it.
Complete this week's chapter of The Bladed Path storyline, do a few runs in Savathun's Spire while doing damage that matches your active subclass, and you'll have earned plenty of experience points and Bright Dust this week.
As a reminder, completing every seasonal challenge will award you with a bonus--and substantial--amount of Bright Dust, that can then be used on some great cosmetic items like weapon ornaments, Exotic sparrows, and emotes.

Week 1
Season of the Witch has begun in Destiny 2, adding new matchmade activities, gear, and storylines to take part in. One of the big draws of a new season in Destiny 2 is that progress can unlock some terrific rewards on the premium and free tracks of the season pass, and one of the quickest ways to earn a substantial amount of XP is to complete seasonal challenges. Each week adds several of these optional objectives to the game, which primarily focus on the new matchmade activity, completing a new chapter of the ongoing storyline, and taking on enemies across the Solar system.
To kick off the first week of Season 22, you can dive into the first chapter of The Bladed Path quest. This gets you up to speed on recent events, introduces you to the new Altars of Summoning activity, and ends with a big showdown against Hive and Vex forces that were subjected to experiments by Savathun. After you complete that activity, you can keep playing Altars of Summoning to earn more XP by opening chests in that event or in Savathun's Spire.
If you're confident in your aim, equip a scout or sniper rifle and start landing precision headshots to complete the Precision Calibration challenge, get multikills to generate Orbs of Power in Vanguard, Gambit, or Crucible playlists for another pursuit, and collect offerings across the system to earn some bonus XP.

Week 2
To kick things off, you can work your way through the next chapter in The Bladed Path quest, collect more Arcana cards for your Deck of Whispers, and if you're up to the challenge, complete Savathun's Spire on Legend difficulty. These seasonal challenges--Acolyte's Ascent, Luminary I, Wisps and Whispers, and Legend Spire--will earn you plenty of experience points along the way, while a few other tasks will also net you some Bright Dust.
Absolutely Stunning is an easy one to mark off your list, as this one requires you to stun Champions. These deadly foes can be found in several PvE activities when you select their high-difficulty modes, but to quickly farm them, check out the daily Legend Lost Sector and outfit your Guardian with the necessary loadout. Rinse and repeat, earn some great rewards for your efforts.
The rest of the seasonal challenges for this week are easy to check off your list, as Most Dangerous Prey will reward you once you've defeated your fellow Guardians in Gambit or the Crucible, and Bank, Kill, Repeat is your usual Gambit task where you have to bank motes, defeat Blockers, and eliminate Guardians in exchange for some XP and Bright Dust. This seasonal challenge will probably take the longest, as Gambit has been made more irrelevant in Season 22.

Week 3
You can grab some experience points from a few runs in Savathun's Tower, completing the new chapter of The Bladed Path Quest, and competing in the Iron Banner.
To double up on these objectives, you can also make certain that you have a seasonal weapon equipped--Locus Locutus, Eleatic Principle, Semiotician, Kept Confidence, The Eremite, and Brya's Love--and the more you have the quicker you'll complete the Athamethodology quest.
Don't forget to give out commendations either when you wrap up matchmade activities, as that'll count towards the Commendation Appreciation objective, and hop into a few Nightfall Strikes where Champions lurk, so that you can earn some more resources. Lastly, you can spend some time on Neptune, the location that was introduced in Lightfall, to cap off this week's run of seasonal objectives.

Week 4
For week 4 of Season of the Witch, there's a focus on really challenging objectives. Once you're done with this week's chapter of The Bladed Path quest, and if you feel like working up a sweat, you can enter the Nightfall Strikes and attempt a run on Grandmaster difficulty. If you complete that, you can then take on another tough challenge in Forgotten Power, where you'll be tasked to enter the Altars of Summoning, complete a Powerful encounter, and defeat combatants using the damage type that matches your subclass.
The rest of this week's challenges are fairly simple in comparison. You can calibrate close-range weapons--sidearms, submachine guns, shotguns, glaives, and swords--get ability final blows in Season of the Witch activities, complete daily bounties, and keep one of your Light subclasses equipped to check Luminary II off your list. Get all that done, and you'll have plenty of Bright Dust to spend on some new cosmetic gear, as well as a nice pile of XP to unlock more gear and bonuses from the season pass.

Week 5
For week 5 of Season of the Witch, you'll want to make certain that you're packing the right gear for the challenges that lie ahead. Once you've finished the new chapter of The Bladed Path and a few encounters in the Altars of Summoning activity, you can hop into the Crucible--or Gambit--to finish another challenge. Equip a submachine gun, bow, and scout rifle as you take on your fellow Guardians and you'll complete the Higher Caliber task. If you're feeling especially confident in your marksmanship skills, a sniper rifle or machine gun will help you tick this objective off your list more quickly.
When you're out in the wild, make certain that you've equipped a weapon that uses special ammo for the Special Forces challenge. Trace rifles work quite well in this category, as they can do massive damage without burning through too much of your ammo, so cycle through a heavily populated lost sector and you'll earn some more Bright Dust. Don't forget to equip a sniper rifle or scout rifle in your primary weapon slot, to get Runic Rifles finished quickly as well.
Cursed by Success tasks you with acquiring the Malediction hand cannon, which requires some grinding. You'll need to rank up with Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit vendors, and once you reach Rank 16, you'll earn this hand cannon.
