Destiny 2 Teaser Video Released; Full Reveal Trailer Coming This Week
Destiny 2 arrives this fall.
Destiny's Age of Triumph update is now available, but the most exciting Destiny news of the day is a teaser trailer for Destiny 2.
The CG video (above) focuses on Cayde-6 telling a story inside of a destroyed bar. There's not a lot to go on in terms of Destiny 2 details, but the most important bit comes at the end: a proper reveal trailer is set to arrive Thursday, March 30, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.
A PlayStation-specific version of the trailer reveals that PS4 players will receive some content first.
Yesterday, Bungie shared a teaser image that confirmed Destiny 2 as the new game's name. It also provided a glimpse of the Last City on fire, which may be our first indication of what will happen in the story.
Publisher Activision had previously confirmed a sequel to Destiny was coming sometime this fall. A recent poster leak suggested it will launch in September and be preceded by a beta, which might be available first on PS4.
Activision said last year that the game will broaden the franchise's appeal. We also know it will not allow you to transfer items or experience from the first Destiny.
While that may not make you want to invest more time in Destiny, there are a number of new things to do with the release of the Age of Triumph update. There are new quests, updated versions of classic Raids, and new gear to collect.
