Destiny 2's 2020 Expansion Release Date

A since-amended PlayStation Store listing for the base game was discovered by Reddit users to contain a notice about hard drive space requirements that included a future date. It noted, "105 GB hard drive storage space required as of September 22, 2020." That date is a Tuesday, when new Destiny content typically drops, and it may point to when either an update tied to the next big expansion or the expansion itself is set to release.

The listing has since been changed to refer to hard drive requirements as of October 1, which was the release day of Shadowkeep, the game's most recent expansion.

Season of Arrivals

This isn't the only apparent Destiny 2 leak on PSN this week. Fans spotted an updated listing for the game's premium in-game currency that featured artwork from what may be Season 11. If accurate, the new season will be called Season of Arrivals, which would tie in with the teases we've been getting about the imminent arrival of the pyramid ships. The background of the image shows what looks to be a Guardian floating and wreathed in green light; that may relate to the theory that players may have the opportunity to stray from the Light.

Whatever is coming, we'll be getting our first glimpse of it very soon. You can watch Bungie's Destiny 2 reveal stream today to catch it all live, and we'll be reporting back with all of the key details.
