There's plenty of value for money in anything if you're happy to do the same thing over and over. It's extra good value if you hate pay offs.

But seriously GameSpot, rather than reporting on this, I would much rather hear hard-hitting news about exactly what happened during development. This was an unusually problematic release for Bungie, they've been tight-lipped about it, and I want to know what happened.

- Someone breaks into a closed-off area: not news to me

- Story of development problems and aftermath: that's gaming news

Personally, I think that the whole campaign needs to be ret-conned again and ret-conned properly with the money and time necessary for the new writer to stretch his legs. The current campaign feels like a bunch of alpha-level filler content with a cheap story tacked on to hold it together, just enough to get the whole staff on the same page about where they wanted the story to go. And it is because the new writer had less than a year to create an ~15hr campaign and not enough time to repeatedly review and refine his new story.

It's only been one month since release (Sept 9th, 2014), so I'll give them a chance to redeem themselves and I'll wait for the (relatively) new writer to stretch his legs, but it'll take a fully ret-conned campaign to do that.

@oldtobie I think its pretty indicative of what a rip off the game is by how much DLC content is written on to the disc and arbitrarily kept out of the game.

Activision cut out a bunch of content so that they could have more DLC to sell and in the process they made the game dull and repetitive. I hope the greedy bastards lose a ton of money on this game.

Tbh if ppl had the new dlc its capped at 32 meaning ppl who don't want to buy dlc day one can sit back wait for the second one to release and get that one.Still being able to join a 32 raid with only 2nd dlc.So playing catch up isn't necessary your gonna get gear and level up to 32 in 3 raids maybe 6 tops.Some people are lvl 30 with 20hrs played while me and my friends 500 still 29 some 30s.Its about raids and who you know thats all.Raid saves on certain checkpoints.
