Destiny Servers Will Be Offline Today, Here's When and for How Long
Downtime scheduled for same day as new expansion reveal event.
Destiny servers are going down for a period of four hours today, Bungie has announced. The maintenance period began at 8 AM PST; at 9 AM PST, everyone in the game will be removed from their activities as the servers go down for maintenance.
If you are logged in prior to 9 AM PST, you will receive an in-game notification informing you of the upcoming downtime so that you can get things in order before then.

The maintenance is scheduled to conclude "before" 1 PM PST. In addition to Destiny being offline during this time, Bungie.net sign-in and the Companion app services "may be restricted," Bungie said on its support site.
The downtime comes on the same day that Bungie is holding a Destiny livestream reveal event where the developer is expected to formally announce the Rise of Iron expansion. There have been many informational leaks, while the trailer has also emerged ahead of time.
