Devil May Cry 3 On Switch Will Feature "A Little Something Extra", Capcom Teases
Jackpot!
Devil May Cry 3 is releasing for Switch on February 20 as a digital release. It is based on the HD upgraded version of the Special Edition originally released for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. It's the third Devil May Cry game to release on Switch, and it's also the most beloved of the original trilogy--and because of this, Capcom has promised that it'll feature "a little something extra."

In a video posted on Twitter, Capcom producer Matt Walker says that the team is "feeling a little motivated" by the fact that the game is so beloved, and as such they're going to add "a little something extra" to this version of the game. More information will be unveiled through the Devil May Cry Twitter account on January 16, January 30, and February 13. This suggests that there will be at least three changes made to this version.
It's unclear what this could mean, as the Switch ports of Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2 were pretty straightforward. As DMC3 introduces Vergil as a playable character, and the character returned in 2019's Devil May Cry 5, it's possible that the additions will relate to him.
Capcom is currently on a hot streak, so hopefully the Switch port of Devil May Cry 3 will deliver a good version of the PlayStation 2 classic.
