Diablo 2 is getting a nicely upgraded console release with Diablo 2: Resurrected on Xbox Series X and Xbox One. As detailed during the Xbox E3 showcase, the game is coming to Xbox alongside the PC version on September 23, 2021.
The upgraded version will include 4K visuals at up to 60fps. Aside from that, it looked very much like you may expect from Diablo 2, with your class of choice taking down hordes of demonic monsters.
A post on the Xbox Blog also notes that those who preorder will gain early access to a limited-time beta in August. An open beta across the entire Xbox community is also planned, and Xbox Live Gold will not be required to participate. (You will need Gold to use online features during the actual game launch, however.) The beta will let you choose from five classes--Amazon, Barbarian, Paladin, Sorceress, and Druid--and party up to 8 players.
