Most of the update's contents were already known, having been announced over the past few months and then seen on the game's public test servers. The video above runs down some of the major new features and improvements, which include a brand-new area called Greyhollow Island and changes to seasonal characters.
In addition to Greyhollow Island, two of the existing zones (The Ruins of Sescheron and Leoric's Manor) have been expanded with new areas. Aside from offering new areas to explore, these are also home to new bounties and events.
Other features of note include the addition of set dungeons (challenges for those who have complete six-piece sets), empowered rifts (allowing you to pay gold to increase the rewards on a greater rift), and a way to transition a seasonal character from one season to the next.
The PC version also gets a new feature in action combat, which was already present in the console versions. You can earn extra experiencement, movement speed, or other buffs through things like massacres and destruction streaks.
Along with all of this, there are a number of new and reworked items, and each class has undergone a number of changes. You can check out the full patch notes for the PC version here, and the Xbox One and PS4 versions here.
