Diablo: The Roleplaying Game Announced, Coming Next Year
The Diablo tabletop RPG is coming next fall after a Kickstarter campaign.
Blizzard has announced a Diablo tabletop role-playing game. Created in partnership with Glass Cannon Unplugged and Genuine Entertainment, the Diablo tabletop RPG is the first product from a multi-year deal with Glass Cannon Unplugged, and it's debuting this weekend at BlizzCon 2024.
The game will be available for everyone to buy in Fall 2024 following a Kickstarter campaign set to debut sometime soon.
"The Diablo RPG will further explore the overworld and underworld of Sanctuary, embarking on adventures above and below with fan-favorite mechanics torn straight from the screen," reads a line from the game's description.
The core rulebook for the Diablo RPG is "thematically set alongside Diablo IV," Glass Cannon Unplugged said. It's also described as a companion to Diablo: The Board Game, which is coming in Fall 2025.
"The TTRPG and board game will fuel one another with interchangeable game components, shared accessories, and complementary expansions with overarching events in a fully integrated product line," Glass Cannon Unplugged said.
As for Diablo IV, the game's Season of Blood update is now live a number of significant changes and improvements to the game. For more, check out the gallery below to see all the new cosmetics and more.
The Diablo series, and the entirety of Activision Blizzard, is now owned by Microsoft following the company's $68.7 billion acquisition.
