Dishonored 2 Gameplay Trailer Shows Enemies Getting Ripped Apart
Check out the very violent and bloody Gamescom trailer for Dishonored 2.
Dishonored 2 is all about player choice, and the newest trailer for the game shows that one of those choices is to be very violent. Publisher Bethesda released a gameplay video for Dishonored 2 that demonstrates how you can use your abilities to literally rip enemies apart.
The gory and brutal trailer shows two scenes. In the first, the player stealthily approaches a few guards and turns into a shadowy creature that crawls close to the ground. Using this ability, the player then grabs a guard and rips its legs off. In the next scene, the player wields guns and knives to stab and dismantle one of the robotic enemies in the game, showing off traversal and mobility in combat. You can watch the full video in the embed above.
Dishonored 2 brings a host of changes to the Dishonored series. Chief among these is that you'll now have the choice to play as either the first game's protagonist, Corvo, or his daughter and Empress of the game's world, Emily Kaldwin. Each will have very different abilities--you can see some of Emily's in the trailer.
We recently had a chance to sit down with Dishonored 2's creative director, Harvey Smith, and talk about the new features coming to the game. You can read our full interview here, where Smith discusses the differences between Corvo and Emily and how their assassin abilities will work.
Dishonored 2 launches on November 11 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
