After launching in 2023 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, the joyful platformer Disney Illusion Island is now coming to PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on May 30. The port has been rebranded to Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey & Friends, and it now comes bundled with two previously released DLCs and a new DLC featuring Scrooge McDuck. Preorders are available now at major retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy. The PS5, Xbox, and PC versions of Disney Illusion Island are $10 cheaper than the Switch version. Plus, physical editions come bundled with a cool extra.

This is the only version of the game up for preorder. Along with the base game and its three free DLCs (Keeper Up, Mystery in Motion, and CASH featuring Scrooge McDuck), you’ll get the aforementioned poster while supplies last.

Physical copies of the game can be preordered at Amazon, Target, GameStop, and Best Buy. PC players can also find it on Steam and GOG. The latter is cool because you'll get a DRM-free version of Illusion Island for PC.

If you’re a Switch owner who hasn't played the charming platformer/metroidvania, you’ll find it available for $40 at Amazon and Best Buy. The cover art of the original release was great, but we think the new edition looks even better. The Switch version will also receive a free update for the Scrooge McDuck DLC.

Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey and Friends is a side-scrolling platformer for one to four players starring Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, and Goofy. The pals find themselves stranded on the strange island of Monoth and are tasked with recovering three unique Tomes that protect the lands from evil. Along the way, the team will unlock a variety of new abilities and discover a cast of colorful characters. The cutscenes have full voiceovers and are animated to resemble modern Mickey Mouse cartoons.

It's a delightful platformer with gorgeous visuals and customizable settings that make it fun for platforming veterans as well as complete beginners and youngsters. Illusion Island is arguably the best introduction to the metroidvania genre for kids. Each playable character has their own movement style and gameplay animations, so it's fun to switch between the four heroes while playing solo or cooperatively.
