This "Definitive" stuff is getting out of hand now. QUIT buying them!!! We need more NEW games not slightly prettier versions of so-so games from a couple years ago, it's a pretty shameless cash grab. The PS4/X1 should have been backwards compatible from the start so we could have avoided this foolishness.

I am redownload this game now on steam. This is the first one in the series that I finish. I can't finish the others, don't know why. This game bring so much thing. I love this Dante, no matter how you defend my opinions. Also the combat, the story, level design, graphic and sound is great. Love this game.

Could someone explain to me , how come the above HD screenshot's file format is jpeg, but the file size is just around 200kb, how did they done it . Normally i capturing with fraps to a jpeg file, the size would be 2mb. So how do i reduce the size like how that did and yet keep the high quality ?

I want to see more on this DMC4 special edition rather than the DMC definitive edition, maybe then they can make a DMC5 and finally make an elder Vergil as the main character, here's my pitch to you CAPCOM if by some crazy minuscule miraculous chance you see this comment on a relatively okay gaming website

The story is set after the events of DMC2 and Dante had just defeated Argosax the Chaos (The Final boss of DMC2) in hell then the gate to hell closes with Dante is trapped there, fast foward a few years the demons left on Earth from the events of DMC2 still ravage the earth and they grow more powerful, there are only three strong fighters against the demon forces remaining Nero, Lady and Lucia whilst Trish disappeared after there was no sign of Dante anywhere.

Lucia seeks more power to defeat these forces then becomes consumed and possessed with the power of a demon and decides to engage in a war for supremacy with the evil forces meanwhile Lady searches for a way to bring back Dante and tries to convince Nero to help her, Nero refuses and shows only interest in protecting Kyrie, during an encounter between the ravaging demon forces and Lucia, Kyrie is slain.

This enrages Nero and he engages in combat with the dark forces and Lucia, however he fails and is greatly overpowered and becomes injured, so Nero joins Lady in their search for Dante by tracking a sanctuary that foretells of a legend of where a son of Sparda can be summoned through the use of the legendary blade Yamato, after going through rigorous trials Nero is successful in completing the ritual and the blade gathers the essence of the Son of Spardas soul and combines it into one then arises the reborn son, however instead of their expected result of summoning Dante, it is the particles of Nelo Angelos essence that are gathered which results in Vergil being reborn with Yamato in his hand. Vergil sets off to save his brother to repay him for saving him and become king of the Human and Demon world

Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen DMC5 game with 3 missions as Nero, then 17 with Vergil and once you complete the game you unlock Dante, 10/10 game GOTY, CAPCOM maaaaaake it

I personally enjoyed this. The story, soundtrack, level designs(lilith's club comes to mind). Picking this up again for sure.

I might get a PS4 just for this game. In all my gaming life I've never beaten a DMC game so this would be suit me just fine. I really want Capcom to remake the Onimusha series in HD! That series especially the first game and the third game were nothing short of great.

more and more definitive editions. isn't it enough a new game isn't complete. you buy the DLC. and yet it isn't complete. you have to buy the definitive edition. now next gen we will get a HDer version. man this shit just needs to stop.

it is refreshing to see a game released sooner rather than later for once.

This game was the best in the series by a landslide. Took away the nonsensical and completely absent story of the first ones and replaced it with one that actually makes sense. Dante is a whole hel-of-a-lot more believable as a character than his personality lacking former self. Not to mention the Art style has vastly improved.

Really the only problem I had with this game is that you couldn't lock on... oh wait that's been fixed now. Can't Wait.

A whole 7 days!!!!? Oh man I can't wait to get my hands on a computer and watch a Let's Play of a game I played over a year ago that never deserved a remaster in the first place!!!!!

If I hear about another "definitive" edition, especially a game that doesn't need it, I'm gonna take a big Taco Bell-sized dump on my console and list it on Ebay with the free accessory.
