With Captain America: Civil War due next month, attention is starting to turn to 2016's other big Marvel release--Doctor Strange. Production on the superhero fantasy wrapped last weekend, and a new image of star Benedict Cumberbatch has been released. Check it out below, via the Stockland Martel photography site.

Cumberbatch plays mystical sorcerer Stephen Strange, while Chiwetel Ejiofor, nominated for an Oscar in 12 Years a Slave, is the evil Baron Mordo. Tilda Swinton plays Strange's mentor, the Ancient One, alongside Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelsen. The film is directed by Sinister's Scott Derrickson.

Cumberbatch was also recently spotted visiting a Manhattan comic book store after completion of shooting, in full costume. The official Marvel Twitter account revealed exactly what the star was buying.

Doctor Strange will be only the second Marvel film to break from the tradition of a summer release. Appropriately enough it is coming to cinemas a few days after Halloween, on November 4, 2016.
